My name is Hunter Jones and I am a student at NEOBC training to be a preacher. The college has taught me to grow in Christ and deepen my roots

in THE Faith. Before coming to NEOBC, I was wanting to go into college right out of High School, but the college I had intended on going to, I would have found myself in a lot of debt, and, it was in South Carolina [away from my

family]. I prayed about it and ultimately didn’t go to SC. Instead, I went into the union for a little bit, still wanted to go into ministry. So, I prayed for a Bible College God wanted me to attend. I found NEOBC and I'm so glad I did.

As I started my studies in the Spring semester of 2021, I started to understand the Word so much better and I could now envision myself as a preacher. As a matter of fact, NEOBC has given me avenues to preach on

occasion as I attempt to hone my skills for full-time ministry.

Also, as a young man, I want to set an example to other young men like me that they can follow their dream.

In I Timothy 4:11-12, it says to" command and teach these things. Don’t let anyone look down because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity." Before going to the college, I understood a little bit of what it

meant, but now, these verses mean so much more to me. So, I encourage the younger generation to go into ministry. The world needs to hear the truth of God’s word. I have been here only a couple of years and it has been

a blessing to know, and understand God more. The best part is I am still learning and growing in the faith. I have found the school I was looking for.
