My path to NEOBC was something I thought about for some time. I have been a Christian for many years. I have taught Sunday school, Bible study and even participated in Evangelism explosion, if you remember that movement of D. James Kennedy that began in 1972. I have daily devotions and prayer. My husband and I attend church regularly, but I was hungry for more.

I worked for 35 years in healthcare until I, myself, had several very real near-death experiences. In

healthcare, we say for every day you are down, it takes 3 days to get better. Every time I began to make

headway another deadly health concern occurred. I remember apologizing to Jesus as He walked with

me down the rocky path I was on. He gave me the strong shoes I needed and carried me most of the

way. Due to this, I am very aware the God Almighty has kept me.

I began to research Bible colleges. I did not want to do online but in person. I needed to get out of my

house. I needed to be local and have affordable tuition. NEOBC came up on my search. Wow, I drive past there a lot. So, I thought, “I will call them.” I believe God directed my steps as only He can. I called and talked to Joe, the President on the phone. He did not pressure me but sent me information about the college. I decided to start with 1 class. I was a little anxious since I was older and had not attended a college in 12 years.

Jesus and I walked through that door, Miss Wanda, the administrator, was in the office and was very kind. I was asking what I needed to do when Don, the Academic Dean, came out of his office to greet me. It has been 2 years now. I will start my 3rd year January 2024. One of the best decisions I have ever made. My biblical knowledge base has expanded greatly. I really get more out of Sunday school and church now.

I have made some great friends of all ages. Real people who love the Lord and want to share Him with

the world. I don’t know what God has for me, but I want to be ready when He shows me. Praising Him,

and encouraging people in their walk with the Lord and learning.
